You even wonder what happened with the good old arcades? You could think they got hit with a nuclear blast, seeing how few of them remain.

But you’ve seen the movies, and know only the most badass survive that and make it to a bright future. At Genting, an arcade survived.

Resorts World Genting is now a monstrosity: 20,000-sq. Ft and over 400 games, combining both your childhood memories and their remastered versions with totally new experiences that weren’t possible back in the days.

You can revive your favorite games and movies, and bask in their new glory! Some, but not all, of the most notable titles include:

RAMBO! Arcade

Nothing more fitting than the original lone badass. Take down helicopters with an explosive-tipped arrow and bazooka your enemies at gunpoint – whatever it takes to survive, you do.

Sega’s treatment to this action hero is stellar, the action and sound effects are intense, and from the frozen tundra to the desert bootcamps stages are very well crafted. Aim for the head!

Strong Animal Kaiser Evolution

Pokémon, Digimon and Yu-Gi-Oh! really shook the 90’s. Since then, their crown have been passed and technology has evolved.

Taking a bit of everything, in Strong Animal Kaiser Evolution you get 3 types of cards: Strongs, Animals, and Miracles. Set on your favorite beasts and create a deck, customize your strategies, and win more cards!

You real life cards work on the arcade machine, so you get to bring your real deck against both your friends and the CPU. Beating the machine nets you free cards, so the arcade itself is chock-full of other players hunting for rare cards, and ready to duel.

Dark Escape 4D

This little cabin of horrors takes your senses to the limit: 3D HD screen, surround music, vibrating seats, air blaster and panic sensors… Dark Escape 4D makes you feel everything from the gun recoil to the monsters breathing on your neck.

The most impressive part are the sensors on the pistol grip: these detect your heartbeat and project it on-screen to give you a sense of how terrorized you really are (what you consciously tell yourself is vastly different from what your body does).

Dark Escape 4D really is an horror game we couldn’t have imagined just a few years ago.

Star Wars: Battle Pod

Come back to he most legendary movie franchise, like you’ve never seen it before.

In Star Wars: Battle Pod, you feel the acceleration, explosions, and destruction of intergalactic ship combat in your own skin thanks to bleeding-edge technology, and immerse yourself in the Death Star raids!

Highly praised for it’s graphic power and force feedback technologies, this game is known as the “Virtual Reality dream come true” without even using VR technologies (yet).

Transformers: Human Alliance

Team up with Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and other Autobots to exterminate the Decepticons once and for all!

This game is pure non-stop action, and fast reflexes are vital in the regular gameplay as well as the “quick time” events during cutscenes. Don’t let the size of the Decepticons intimidate you, the Autobots need your help.

Transformer: Human Alliance has the impact of the Michael Bay movies, but keeps truer to it’s 80’s roots.

As you can see, Resorts World Genting doubles as both an altar of our childhoods and a high-tech hub. Whatever you were into during the 80’s and 90’s, you got a lot of catching up to do!

You can find Resort World Genting at Funtasy World (Level T2B, First World Plaza) and Vision City (Level 4, Genting Grand).

It’s open Monday – Thursday from 10.00 am until 12.00 midnight, and during weekends and Holidays they stretch to 9.00 am – 1.00 am so you don’t have to worry about being late at work.

See you there!
