A recent update to the Pokémon Bank application has finally added compatibility with the 3DS hits Pokémon Sun and Moon. You can download the update now via the 3DS eShop.

As an additional gift, players downloading this update will get an exclusive Mystery Gift: the Mewnium Z-Crystal, which as it names suggests, only Mew can use in battle to unleash a custom Z-Move. A detail some players might notice, is that the Pokémon Bank “takes care” of ordering your Pokémon – Alola is the first region not to get a “national” Pokédex, instead having only the native Rotom version.

Currently, Pokémon Bank lets you deposit and transfer (up to 3000) Pokémon across multiple Pokémon games from various generations. With this update, you can now transfer Pokémon coming from X, Y, Omega Ruby, Alpha Saphire, and even Black and White (1 & 2) to Sun and Moon.

A companion mobile app called Pokémon Transporter eases the process of transferring Pokémon from the Virtual Console versions of Red, Yellow and Blue to Pokémon Bank and then to the 3DS games.

For now, Pokemon Bank requires a $5-per-year subscription.
