Based on Ivan Goldberg, M.D., in 1995, he states that Internet Addiction Disorder (IAD) is a theorized disorder originally made as a satirical hoax. He took pathological gambling as diagnosed by the DSM-IV as his model for the spoofed description.
Honestly, I’m not quite getting it.
Anyway…
Addiction itself is real, it’s not even something new. Internet on the other hand, is not new of course, but it’s rapidly changing. Life has it’s ways to confuse and mislead, or perhaps you can say it’s society/environment that caused it. Like what I’ve just written, …

At a stage of a gamers life, a critical stage that is, there’s this possibility that gaming itself becomes this extreme addiction that seriously affects the whole flow of your life itself.
Have I been at such a stage previous? No. Thank god.
There was a period of time in my life that I was somewhat addicted to gaming, yes. However, that was the period of time that I wasn’t actually doing anything “worthwhile” anyway.
It was the stage of my life when I had to choose a path, and that might be …

Geez! Com’on already… The whole guys are better then girls concept is so past-tense. Guys should start getting over themselves. Haven’t you heard? female gaming is the new IN thing!
Why do I say that? Well…

I’m a very “Internet-oriented” person, as in I love to surf the net for any interesting updates, even it if doesn’t affect me direct or indirectly. I’m so not making sense am I?
Anyway. I was going through Youth.SG and I read about the Games Convention Asia.
The inaugural Games Convention Asia 2007 got to a fine start on Thursday as Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports and Second Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts at the Suntec International Convention and Exhibition Centre opened the highly-anticipated gaming …

It’s so unfair…
Why wasn’t there a gaming fiesta back when I was still very much into gaming? Sigh…
Gaming Festival is a bold new initiative by a group of tertiary students, to bring gaming enthusiasts together. We hope to allow gamers to find opportunities in our new gaming industries, at the same time networking and enjoying themselves. I feel as though I’ve been hiding in a deep, deep, deep well for so long until I can barely remember.
I’m not sure about you guys out there, but I have seriously never heard of the “Society of Simulation and Gaming of Singapore (SSAGSg)” in my life!
According to the website:

Okay, this is definitely NOT game related. But what the heck man. It’s my country’s birthday!
It’s good to have “someone” to do designs for you to leverage on isn’t it?

Finally July is OVER and August has just BEGAN!
It’s more then a month and I’ve been reading up quite a bit on what I’m going to be discussing in the days to come. But of course, World of Warcraft is going to be one of the topic I doubt I will drift away from (regardless if I get my account back or not).
Hmmm… Perhaps it is time? Perhaps I should try to psycho my other half to design a new blog design for me? I know she will most definitely …

It’s almost a month since I’ve started this blog of mine. I really like the idea of specialized blogging, that’s why I started this blog in the very first place. However, I’m starting to notice something about myself. I seem to not be talking much about what I’m supposed to. In fact, most of the topics wayyy too generic.
If this continues… I’m going to fail! And the ultimate purpose of having this “space” would be redundant…
Sigh. I blame this on my other half‘s “style” of blogging anything and everything under …

Everyone is posting about this (or rather everyone that I know of at least). Even my other me is into this whole “top 7” thingy. She has her likes, and I have mine. You’d expect that it’s different since our character aren’t exactly identical to begin with (apart from the sharing of a physical body portion).
No. 1 on my list is non-other then the well-renowned Monkey that my other half is so deeply in love with. Reason why I’m into his blog is because of the non-stop-chit-chat about World …
