McDonald’s Monopoly, he plays it too
The thing about “topics” is that it always seems to make a big round and bite you when you least expect it – sometimes good, sometimes bad.
Earlier this week I stumbled onto McDonald’s Monopoly online game (since I don’t actually go out that often, or for that matter, take notice of the piece of paper they put on the trays) and decided to blog about it here. Today, after dinner on the trip home, Monopoly was brought up and it eventually lead to McDonald’s Monopoly again. See what I mean by going a big round and returning?
Apparently, he (Teddybear) wasn’t exactly aware of the version online but was given a McDonald’s Monopoly “board game” made of… well… paper, during his visit to the fast food outlet.
Here’s how it works. Basically you’ll need the paper-made McDonald’s Monopoly “board game” that’s being distributed by people dressed up in (fake) tuxedo t-shirts and top hats (like the “Monopoly man”) walking around McDonald’s, or you can get it from the counter. After that, you’ll need to collect stamps (or stickers), from buying meals at McDonald’s, to build up your set. The number of stickers you get depends on the “grade” of the meal you buy (or if the person likes you, he/she would probably dump a whole lot your way).
(Fyi, the “Monopoly man” also teaches people how to play the game.)
Completion of the set means you get to play a proper game. But to spice things up, depending on the set you complete you are entitled to a range of prizes. Even if you don’t complete the set, you still stand a chance to win stuff like an apple pie.
Talk about playing for the win. This really brings a competitive edge to a person.
PS: I haven’t been going to McDonald’s for a while so, whatever said here is according to the bear.
