Nintendo DSi, should I?

Been thinking for a while about the Nintendo DSi – should I get it, or should I not? I have the Nintendo DS Lite, in baby pink, but a camera is kinda tempting, really. The only thing that’s kinda holding me back happens to be – game choices. Rumour has it that games made for the DS Lite are not compatible for the DSi. It’s just a “rumour”, one that I should really verify.

If you think about it, it could be true, right? I mean the DSi has been out for quite a while.

Even PSP has gone Go. But till now, the DSi isn’t really that popular yet. Why? If it’s not true. Is it worth spending extra money for a camera? It’s not like I’m going to be video chatting with anyone via my DS. And what will I do with my DS Lite?

I bought my DS Lite a year and a half ago mainly to play Nintendogs. I had this thing for Tamagotchi. In the end, I got totally hooked to Final Fantasy Tactics and been playing it ever since.

Fyi, Final Fantasy Tactics is a tactical role-playing game developed and published by Square (now Square Enix) for the Sony PlayStation video game console.

According to Wikipedia, it was released in Japan in June 1997 and in the United States in January 1998, which is 11 years ago. The game combines thematic elements of the Final Fantasy video game series with a game engine and battle system unlike those previously seen in the franchise. In contrast to other 32-bit era Final Fantasy titles, Final Fantasy Tactics uses a 3D, isometric, rotatable playing field, with bitmap sprite characters.

According to IGN, the version for DS Lite released in December 2006. Meaning, it’s 3 years old current. And yes, I’m still playing it. (Will go into detail about the game in another entry, another day. It’s way overdue for a review.)

My point? Should I get the DSi and what other games are worth playing?
