What’s this game all about?

Well, basically “Empire: Total War” is a real-time strategy game (RTS). It is a trademark mix of turn-based strategy and real time battlefield action debuts in the 18th Century.

Empire: Total War is a revolution; improvements in AI, graphics and usability across the board are only the tip of the iceberg as fully-fledged naval battles make their first appearance alongside the largest campaign map ever. Seize and rule an Empire that will stretch from India to America in the first globally-spanning Total War.

The official release date of the game is March 6, 2009, but pre-orders are currently available!

“Pre-Order Empire: Total War and get one of the Exclusive Elite Unit.”

Each customer will receive a Pre-order card with a unique serial number. The unit they receive will be a mystery until the card has been unsealed. When installing the game and activating it on Steamworks the customer will need to enter the code and the extra content downloads direct to their PC.

Pre-order units includes the following:

1. Death’s Head Hussars

The Prussian army’s bravest and fiercest cavalry is trained to deliver devastating volleys of musket fire while closing on the enemy. These daring charges strike fear into even the most stalwart of opponents.

This unit is available when playing as Prussia and your technology has sufficiently advanced. Prussia must also hold Brandenburg.

2. The USS Constitution

The legendary heavy frigate of the United States Navy, used to great effect in capturing enemy ships and running down fleeing opponents. Fast and heavily-armed, the pinnacle of 18th Century US Navy power.

This unit is available when playing as the USA and your technology has sufficiently advanced. It may also be captured by opposing factions.

3. The Dahomey Amazons

An elite female-only military regiment from West Africa. Disciplined both in rifle drills and close combat, they are rightly feared for their incredible courage and their practice of decapitating their captives.

This unit is available when holding territory in North Africa.
