Telecommunications - Get connected!
Posted by miuki as Advertorial
Communication is the most important tool of getting connected to your loved ones no matter where you are. Thanks to technology things are getting easier as compared to before. Especially telecommunications.
Although cost of telecommunications are rapidly dropping, there are still a particular group of people that would still think twice before paying that extra dollar to make a call back to where they came from.
Yes, I’m referring to those who went aboard, away from their home town to other states for work. As cheap as telecommunications may already be, for these individuals, for example, Philippines and India, cost is always a considering factor to them. [ Click here to read more ]

[Review] Bugis Junction VIRTUALAND: “What did you say?”
Posted by miuki as LAN Reviews
We all know that loud sounds hurt our ears drums. Thus, too much loud music from clubs may seriously damage your hearing in a long run. However, there are places that are far worst then clubs. And well… It’s not “music to our ears” at all.
After experiencing the arcade-style-lan-shops, what I can say is,
I’ll pick a club over them anyday, anytime.
Sadly, today isn’t “the day” or “the time”.
Unfortunate for me, Teddybear and gang have decided to torment me by arranging the Counter-Strike session for the evening at non-other then a dreadful arcade-style-lan-shops, which I’m totally against. [ Click here to read more ]

Space Invaders Get Even - Be The Space Invaders?
Posted by miuki as Games

It’s been a long time coming, but the Space Invaders are about to have their day. So says Chris Kohler.
At a press conference in Japan, Taito, a subsidiary of Square Enix, announced that you’ll be able to control gaming’s most iconographic pixelized aliens in Space Invaders Get Even: Counterattack of the Space Invaders, coming later this year for Wii. [ Click here to read more ]

Try the Zack & Wiki Demo?
Posted by miuki as Games
I was reading Game|Life and caught a glimpse of their well-recommended adventure game Zack & Wiki for the Wii.
Apparently, Game|Life is a big fan of Zack & Wiki and are doing their best to get everyone else to play it.
Capcom, a bit belatedly, perhaps, has finally caught up and made a demo of one of the game’s levels available online.
I guess I would consider myself as a fan of Game|Life, and since the demo is playable on PC (I don’t have a Wii to begin with), I decided to give it a go. [ Click here to read more ]

Xbox 360 gets PRICE CUT in Europe this month?
Posted by miuki as Rumors
According to Game|Life, rumors has it that the Xbox 360 will be getting a PRICE CUT for the European market, perhaps as soon as next week!

Suddenly I’m starting to regret not going over to LSE when I could have like 3 years ago? Oh well…
Anyway, TechRadar is reporting that Microsoft will be knocking about £40 off the price of all 360 SKUs, while MCV tells a different story. [ Click here to read more ]

Anagrams
Posted by miuki as Board Games
According to Yehuda - Anagrams is the Eurogame version of Scrabble. (And to think I don’t really like Scrabble to begin with.)
Yehuda explains the game quite well I must say.
Anyhow.
Apparently, Anagrams is a game for 2 or more players. It takes about 30 minutes and there are no turns, everyone plays all the time.
You can win right up to the very end of the game, and, while a good vocabulary helps (duh), it is less of an issue than it is in Scrabble. More important is a quick pattern matching ability.
Players sit in a circle. Flip over tiles, one at a time, with a reasonable amount of time between each flip. If you flip the blank tile, discard it. [ Click here to read more ]
