Time to pay Philippines a visit?

25 January 2008 430 views 2 Comments

Let’s be honest here, I love traveling but there are certain places that I didn’t include on my ‘lifetime traveling plans‘.

For example, the Philippines.

See… I’ve had Filipino maids for the whole of my life, never a Singaporean or anything like that. Thus, I’ve always had the impression that the Philippines is like a provincial country. In other words, I somewhat considered it a ‘poor man’s land‘.

(I doubt they have resorts, and I cannot begin to imagine the kind of hotels or even motels, they have.)

Unlike Vietnam or such, how often do you hear about sights and/or landmarks worth visiting in the Philippines?

Lets be honest here, they’re not exactly the country filled with wonders. Disasters on the other hand… That I’ve heard a lifetime worth of stories.

Impressions can be changed.

After having a B.F.F. that is Filipino, well… The impression of the country itself, kinda changed… A little.

To be honest, though I still find it run-down in certain ways, I am rather keen to pay Philippines a visit. Especially… the University of Philippines?

Anyway.

I’ve somewhat been a loyal believer of ‘the Internet‘. Thus, of course, when I decide to travel or almost anything for that matter of fact, I do my research and price comparison – online.

(It’s lazy-people-free you see. You know the whole don’t have to leave the comfort of your home and stuff.)

Anyhow.

Where else to get the best rates to make a hotel reservation then…

Hotel Reservations?

(Laugh with me people, not at me!)

PS: Perhaps I can even take a look at how IP e-Games Philippines look like? Or even play some of their games there and then? Hehe.

Hey you’ll be super surprised at how wonderful a place Philippines is. Yes it is still very backward but e big cities like Makati or e beaches in Boracay as amazingly breath taking. There are many parts of Manila that are so nice, much nicer than in US. In Makati the hotels available can be very high end and luxurious. I agree it’s not a place to rave about but it is still worth checking out, especially the shopping! :)

Yeah… I guess it’s worth giving a chance. Not like I have much of a choice anyway. ;x
