Moving to console?

Posted by miuki as Gamer's Diary

When I was much younger, probably about 10 or something, I somewhat recall playing consoles like SEGA and stuff like that at my cousin’s place. In fact, if I’m not mistaken, my mum even bought one of those ancient console boxes (that requires the TV for it to work) for me and my sisters. But, of course, since I apparently don’t have much recollection of it, I assume I was either never very good at it, or didn’t really like it at all.

What’s my point?

In short, what I’m trying to say is that I’ve never really been much of a ‘console gamer‘ (in the past or present) - most of the time I use a keyboard and a mouse to navigate around a 10″ to even 21″ inch LCD screen (of a laptop or PC of course).

However, gaming is continuously evolving and the standards of gamers has improved a lot. To keep my title as a so-called “gamer” (or at least I claim to be one), console gaming is something that I have to literally - “lay my hands on“.

Otherwise, how can I really consider myself a “true gamer“, right?

Okay. I admit. Most of what I’ve said are like redundant, excuses. The main factor that somewhat triggered my interest in console gaming is linked to my recent defeat. (Plus, of course, the fact that my Teddybear plays Xbox and PlayStation played a major role as well.)

I’m not saying goodbye to PC gaming. But probably I need to explore other alternatives to satisfy my cravings for…. Erm… Gaming needs?

Hmmm… Lately I feel as though I’m just repeating my sentences over and over again but revolving around just 1 statement. Geez. What am I thinking! It’s not as though I have a wide range of adjectives to make use of (like you know who…)!

Probably I should stop reading the books I’m currently into. Or… I can stop talking to my Teddybear. That might help too?

Sooo off the topic.
