Halloween!

Posted by miuki as Gamer's Diary

OMG! How time seems to fly by so quickly…

Yet again, it’s Halloween, a festive that we don’t get a day off from work or school. Still, being a special day as it is. I know I’m suppose to be posting screenshots on how World of Warcraft is somewhat celebrating this day, but well… I don’t have any, so too bad.

Plans for the day? Sorry, none so far. Probably next year something good would come up from this day, but this year, it’s just another normal day like every other.

I’m cutting it short, kinda tired. November is a good month to get back in the flow.

Just ranting…

Posted by miuki as Gamer's Diary

During days like this when the sun isn’t shining so bright and the wind is makes you feel chilly, you tend to feel a little depressed, everything seem rather greyish…

Okay. I am starting to sound really emo. here. I blame it on the weather of course. Geez. Why of all days to be freezing it has to be today? Come to think of it, it has been raining quite a bit lately, after all, it’s almost the end of the year, though it’s nearer to the end of October itself.

It feels like the final countdown to Halloween, and I’ve yet decided what to do on that very day. I’m kinda looking forward to the coming month with Princessa’s friend’s friend coming and everything. Kinda weird. Longing to see yet not longing to see.

Contradicting. I know.

Almost the end of October, Halloween?

Posted by miuki as Gamer's Diary

Gosh… Time seriously flies by when you least expect. Hmmm… That sentence doesn’t seem to flow very well. Oh well…

Halloween is so close, even in World of Warcraft is having Halloween preparations (though I still haven’t renewed my account, doesn’t mean I’m not aware of what is going on completely). Quite impressive in fact. I’d probably leech some images off a friend or something. Just to share with you lots (then again, no one reads my blog anyway).

Hmmm… I wonder how will Princessa be spending her Halloween this year? Last year was a drag, she should make up for what that is lost. Then again, come to think of it, life has been so busy, I doubt a celebration is well called for. [ Click here to read more ]

Announcing 40GB PlayStation 3 in North America

Posted by miuki as Consoles

Few weeks after the release of the new 40GB PlayStation 3 model for Europe, Japan and Australia was announced, Sony finally made the announcement to release it in North America as well.

The new PlayStation 3 will be launched on November 02, 2007 and is priced at $399. Differ from the 60GB and 80GB models, the new 40GB PlayStation 3 will not have any memory card readers instead there will only be 2 USB ports instead 4. Also, as announced previously, the 40GB PlayStation 3 won’t feature backward PlayStation 2 compatibility, but it will have built-in IEEE 802.11 b/g wireless networking capability.

In a way you can consider it more advance. Yet on the other hand, with the reduction of USB ports and space itself, it has it’s flaws. [ Click here to read more ]

The video games console timeline

Posted by miuki as Games

See, humans like me that are busy like a bee, usually tend to forsake the need of blogging. Since blogging is already out of the question, do you even think it is possible for me to actually be gaming?

So… Because I seldom get the chance to game, thus, I choose to read about it at least. And that is when I came across the YouTube video, one that made me realize how “mountain tortoise” I am.

Interesting isn’t it? [ Click here to read more ]

Yakuza 3 Trailer Released

Posted by miuki as Consoles

Before I go into the topic itself, I have a confession to make. I am not much of a PS2 fanatic. In fact, I don’t even own a set. But of course, I do play the games at friend’s place or something, once in a while.

Anyway…

According to other reviews and such, Yakuza is supposed to be a somewhat good game, especially if you based it on the story line.

What can I say… The Japanese underworld is really one of the most fascinating topics for me (in other words it isn’t THE most). Just based on that, it was truly loads of fun, for a couple of hours that is. However, if you compare it to the other games that I truly enjoy like World of Warcraft and such, there’s basically no comparison. It’s pretty repetitive and not at all complex.

In short, there’s room for improvement.

Then came Yakuza 2. [ Click here to read more ]

Toyota’s World of Warcraft Ad

I don’t know how or why I had the opportunity to chance upon this…

It’s actually quite amusing. I got it off some random guy’s (I’m assuming he’s a he) blog. [ Click here to read more ]

Happy Birthday to “Us”!

Posted by miuki as Gamer's Diary

Before I begin my “singing”, let me warn you that it might not be of professional level!

Happy birthday to me.
Happy birthday to you.
Happy birthday… Happy birthday…
Happy birthday to us!

It’s my party and I… something, something, something…

Oh well, I tried.

It’s our birthday! All of me that is - Sabrina, Princessa and of course me, Miuki.

It’s great to have special individuals to share a special event with you. And of course, they understand the irony and joy of it… [ Click here to read more ]

Finally… It’s October!

Posted by miuki as Gamer's Diary

After 3 months of ranting endlessly about what I should be writing and what I shouldn’t be, finally in I’m able to really tell you all that I am ready to commit and actually present myself as the gamer that I was or should have been for the past 3 ironic months.

Come to think of it, I should really thank my alter ego, Princessa. It was her that finally woke us both up at once with the announcement that she is, or rather we all are, going to be a year older and time is of the essence.

In 7 days times, including today itself of course, we will be officially 1 year older from before. A year older and hopefully a year wiser?

Having to live in this dimension for “so many years“, I must say that I’ve learned and been through more then anyone my age would have gone through.

I wouldn’t say that the experience itself was bad, but it isn’t all that good either.

In life, you win some you lose some. Some of course are of the upper hand, but that is so not the point right now. [ Click here to read more ]
