When games take over…

At a stage of a gamers life, a critical stage that is, there’s this possibility that gaming itself becomes this extreme addiction that seriously affects the whole flow of your life itself.

Have I been at such a stage previous? No. Thank god.

There was a period of time in my life that I was somewhat addicted to gaming, yes. However, that was the period of time that I wasn’t actually doing anything “worthwhile” anyway.

It was the stage of my life when I had to choose a path, and that might be the path of no return. Once taken, there was no turning back. So before stepping towards it, I had to take a break, short one, but it had to be done (at least I felt it should be this way).

I’m probably not making much sense…

Anyhow.

Games are just games. It should not be the factor of what makes your life complete. Competitive or not, there always more to the world then what you see before you on your computer screen.

Balance is the key.
