Games Convention Asia: Paradise now

I’m a very “Internet-oriented” person, as in I love to surf the net for any interesting updates, even it if doesn’t affect me direct or indirectly. I’m so not making sense am I?

Anyway. I was going through Youth.SG and I read about the Games Convention Asia.

The inaugural Games Convention Asia 2007 got to a fine start on Thursday as Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports and Second Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts at the Suntec International Convention and Exhibition Centre opened the highly-anticipated gaming event.

I saw the name of a familiar name of a minister who graced an event “someone” very close to me somewhat organized last December 2006 - Dr Balakrishnan.

He welcomed the global games community delegates and distinguished industry leaders, he also expressed the nation’s objective to gear up as a “global Digital Media and Entertainment capital offering innovative content, services and technologies to the world“. - According to the website of course.

When they say “expressed the nation’s objective to gear up…” - Didn’t I say that Singapore is really opening up it’s doors to Cyber Sports?

I’m sleepy. I’m not making sense.
