Too short. Not sweet?
I was reading up on World of Warcraft, just to not be too outdated (after all I do intend to get back my account and continue playing the game). And while reading the community sites (and blogs as well), I noticed something quite particular about the method of which people tend to write their so-called “articles” and/or “entries“.
I’ve heard of the saying – “Short and Sweet“? But this is a little over the edge for my preference.
I find it wayyy too short, and not at all sweet.
For example:
Developer Blizzard gives players a new perspective into the popular massively multiplayer Warcraft series with its new title, World of Warcraft. See the world of Azeroth like never before, exploring expansive 3D environments that range from mountains, to deserts, to forests and more.
Create a custom character from one of the many classes and races in the Warcraft universe such as Humans, Night Elves, Orcs, Tauren, and Dwarves. Online multiplayer capabilities allow for thousands of players to quest together. Ever changing gameplay varies from month to month as new missions and items are constantly updated, adding to the countless hours of adventuring.

Is this an overview or a linear? Two miserable paragraphs and it’s suppose to attract our attention?
It sounds advertorial, yet not strong enough to actually sell to the audience. Sigh… Humans are getting lazy again?
